Springbrook serves more than 850 families from across New York State. 151 adults and 74 youth, ages 5-21, receive residential support; meaning, they live in a certified setting that is staffed by Springbrook employees 24/7. These certified settings are the residents’ home—places where they live, play, and learn. Springbrook’s families, which hail from more than 30 counties across the state, have made the difficult decision to entrust the organization with providing lifetime support. The Family Engagement Center is intended to be a place that goes above and beyond to provide a safe, private, and comfortable setting where families who travel from long distances will be able to visit with their loved ones. It will also offer family members or advocates a place to stay as they complete the emotionally and mentally taxing admissions process, which can sometimes last for days.

The Family Engagement Center design is a result of many collaborative years of project visioning sessions, written reports, presentations, site analysis, and 3D models between Springbrook and Chianis + Anderson Architects.
