Hospital Expansion

Chianis + Anderson is assisting this rural hospital with their ongoing efforts to improve their delivery of healthcare, upgrade their infrastructure, and reduce operating costs.

The existing hospital is comprised of three wings constructed decades apart. The Project includes the relocation of several departments and the expansion and modernization of the Imaging Department in preparation for the relocation and expansion of the current Emergency Department. The new Emergency Department will expand the program to a total of 11,000 SF of renovated and new space. Adjacent to the new Emergency Department will
be a five-room walk-in center, allowing staff to be utilized with greater efficiency. All rooms are instantly convertible to serve the Emergency Department.

Included in the project is a new circulation path for emergency vehicles allowing them to enter the campus through a designated entrance and proceed directly to the Ambulance Entrance of the Emergency Department.
A new main entrance at grade level with the Hospital Lobby is also part of the project. The new entrance will include a covered drop off to easily and safely welcome patients into the hospital lobby. From there navigating through the facility will be much easier for patients.
